Ryan –
Should I get this, the PR-008, for my BB-22 or is the PR-013 a better choice?
maverickthermo –
Hi Ryan,
The PR-008 or PR-013 probe will be compatible with your BB-22 unit.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.
Thank you.
Katy Sauer –
I need a replacement probe #BB-22, but it says it’s out of stock. Will you be getting more, or is there another probe that is compatible?
maverickthermo –
Hi Katy! The PR-008 probes have been re-stocked and are once again available to be ordered.

I have used this probe style for several years and it works great. The only problem I have had is our cat loves to chew on the cords and unfortunately these cords aren’t cat teeth proof. It’s great I get replacement cords.

HD32 works well, but the probes are super fragile. First one lasted 3 smokes, second one 10 smokes and the third one only 1 smoke. I’ve been super careful not to get it wet.
Now, the probe is out of stock. 🙁

Hi Rob, we’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your HD-32 unit. If the thermometer was purchased recently, please contact us about warranty information. Otherwise, the PR-013 probe will also be compatible with your HD-32 thermometer. Additionally, please be advised that the operating range for the probes is 16°F to 482°F (-9°C to 250°C) and that use outside of this range may result in damage to the probe.

Hello, I’m looking for an HD32 probe but it’s out of stock. What other probe can I use that will fit Model HD32?
maverickthermo –
Hi Sal, The PR-013 Food Probe will also be compatible with your HD-32 thermometer.

I was having a problem with my probe and tried a variation of Melissa’s oven suggestion: Put in my counter top, toaster oven at 250 for 30 minutes. BAMM! Works now.
Thanks for the tip Melissa!
Russell Eimers –
Probe failed first time I used it. I like the device. Just wish probe lasted longer.
Melissa Hunt –
Hi Russell,
A meat thermometer probe that is malfunctioning could have been exposed to moisture. Sometimes a probe that is malfunctioning due to interior moisture can be made to work again by utilizing the following procedure:
Preheat your oven to 250°F.
Place the probe and wire (not entire transmitter) in a small baking pan and put it in the oven.
Leave the probe and wire in the oven for 15-20 minutes, then remove and allow to cool.
Once cool, try using the probe again. If this does not remedy your issue and the probe is still under warranty, please contact our customer service department at help@maverickthermometers.com with the model number of your unit and we’ll replace it free of charge.
If the probe is out of warranty, please visit our Replacement Probes page to order a new probe.
Thanks!

Hi Gary, the PR-008 is expected to be back in stock soon. Can you please confirm what model thermometer you have? There may be other alternatives available to you, as well. Thanks!
